A tea house, online
Teerau began with a simple wish: to drink tea that tastes the way it does at the garden gate — bright, fresh, and full of place.

Most tea travels a long, slow road — picked one season, blended the next, and left on a shelf for a year before it reaches a cup. By then the brightness is gone. We wanted to shorten that road.
So we buy in small lots, directly from gardens we have come to know, and we buy by the harvest rather than the warehouse. Each lot is tasted before it earns a place in the caddy, and sealed in small batches so it arrives aromatic and alive.
Alongside the leaf we keep a short, considered shelf of the tools that make brewing a pleasure — teapots, infusers and cups chosen to last a lifetime, not a season. Everything here is meant to slow you down for a few good minutes a day.
Three quiet promises
Freshness first
Small batches, sealed to order. We would rather sell out of a lot than let it grow tired on a shelf.
Garden-direct
We buy by the harvest, from growers we know by name, and pay fairly for the care their tea takes.
Made to last
Honest teaware in clay, iron, glass and porcelain — chosen to be used daily and kept for years.
How a tea reaches you
Taste
We cup each new lot blind and only list the ones that earn it.
Source
We buy the harvest direct and bring it in by the chest.
Seal
We pack in small batches, sealed against light and air.
Ship
Your order leaves fresh, usually within two working days.
